4 days to Christmas

It feels like spring here in Atlanta. The weather outside is delightful, but a little weird for Christmas. Shopping was fantastic this year. Great goodies out there to put you in the spending mood. Digital artist have really been creative. Scrapartist has cool elements for the holidays- now if I could just figure out what to do with all the stuff I purchased!

My Christmas cards are taken on a vintage look this year. I think it's a holiday where vintage is the feel.

Here we go it's Christmas

The Fairies have gone 3-D. Delta's fantasy snow in a bottle has been sitting in my craft closet for 2 years-finally I dug it out and wa-la! Love it because it hides the hot glue mistakes on the box.

Gargoyles

I have been through the Biltmore House in Ashville, NC a dozen times. I forgot no pictures are to be taken inside the house. On the third room I was told by a nice gentleman please do not take pictures. Well I am so sorry I forgot, but I did manage to snap a few shots. I am always bewildered by the beauty and details of the craftmanship that this castle holds. So here are the few pics I came away with.

October-it's time to play with the fun colors of fall & Halloween. Vintage photos are great to alter for Halloween. This lady and those glasses -I could not resist turning her into a witch! The background is old ad papers I put together
then printed it out and water colored with orange, then used rubber stamps with black ink. I submitted this in a black & orange contest at penelopeillustration.com -check out the entries. There is some fun Halloween art to see here.

BEFORE

Miss Jeri after you've visited Cupids Bow

and seen all the cool, fun, and soooo stylish stuff

in the store. It's in downtown Lawrenceville on the

square at Perry Street.

Hobby Lobby has a cool selection of pumpkins this year. Just the right sizes for paper mache boxes. I hot glued fabric cut into frindge to give the pumpkins something to adhere to. Then added Halloween sayings in blackader font. The wine box is my favorite.

The October calendar on canvas is my latest project. How fun is 31 blocks to be creative with for Halloween. I love the Halloween colors. We were in England in a fishing village called Boscastle a couple of years ago and visited the witches museum- scared me out of my wits! But I came away with many Halloween spooky ideas for crafting.
